Unlike the Inaugral event, the second Rosauers Open did not produce a playoff, but there was still plenty of excitement and uncertainty leading up to Chris Mitchell’s hard-earned victory.

Mitchell, a longtime assistant at Indian Canyon, was one of four players – including current PGA touring professional Kirk Triplett, current Senior PGA Tour veteran Rick Acton and host pro Gary Lindeblad – bunched atop the leaderboard entering the final nine holes of the tournament.

Mitchell, playing with Triplett, seemed to take control on the 17^th when he drove to within 50 yards of the green and wedged his approach to within a foot of the pin for an easy birdie. But needing only a par on the short par-5 18^th, he hit a couple of indifferent shots and was faced with a ticklish 12-foot putt to save his five.

Mitchell confidently rolled in the putt, however, and earned the $6,000 winner’s check.
